Attorneys Caught in Sweep Involving Immigration Fraud

Six attorneys were among 26 defendants charged Tuesday in indictments alleging conspiracy to commit immigration fraud. At least 10 New York City area law firms were implicated in the schemes, which sought to win asylum for hundreds of Chinese immigrants based on phony claims of persecution.
