Longtime South Florida lawyer among those charged in investment scam

A lawyer who was a partner or of counsel at several prominent law firms is one of five Floridians charged in a $20 million fraudulent investment scheme. A lawyer for 36 years, Michael R. Casey is described by former colleagues as “a fine lawyer” and “a good guy” who “would never have done something like that.”
