About

This Blog was created by criminal defense attorney David Edelstein to provide a forum where criminal justice professionals, teachers, and students could read and discuss recent criminal law decisions from Florida’s appellate courts. It is hoped that not only will viewers read the most recent opinions, but also feel free to make comments regarding them in the hopes of stimulating a rich debate on the significance (or insignificance) of the decisions.

In order to make comments, you must first register by clicking here. If you would like to print a PDF version of an opinion, links have been provided for that purpose.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Opinions are not final until any timely filed motion for rehearing is considered and disposed of by the Court. These opinions are also subject to formal revision before publication in the Southern Reporter, 2nd Series.
