In his biting piece on underfunded public defender offices, John Oliver excoriates our criminal justice system for giving lip service to the constitutional right to counsel. And once again, Florida is the punchline.

As he does with so many topics, Oliver uses humor to bring to light important topics that are far from humorous. In this case, he calls out legislators for their failure to adequately fund something that is required by the U.S. Constitution: the right to an attorney.
